I'm Sick...With Spring Fever!!!

Happy Thursday Everyone!! (a.k.a. the three of you who actually read this)
I know people usually use "Happy Friday" as a greeting but I feel it is best suited for today, Thursday. Why so happy? Well, not only is it gorgeous out (80 degrees & sunny?!) but I have also just completed another task that I've been meaning to do for the last 2 months! Hmm...what could it be? If you said... getting my California Driver's License ---  Hells No. (I have the book, just need to study...a future blog will discuss that I'm sure but I have a feeling with my last experience at the DMV, it won't be a "Happy ____Day?!".)  If you said jumping off the Santa Monica Pier ---- very good guess but not today.  If you said planting some seeds for our little garden (on the deck)... YOU ARE CORRECT!!

I am BEYOND excited to plant these & hope they will actually grow! Sunflowers are my first choice but... due to the height, I will maybe do those when we have a backyard or I may actually try after I see how these do. 

I asked my Hubby to snap a photo of me for the blog but I wish he would've told me to either shave my head or jump off the balcony.

This is the one I am most excited for! We use this ALL the time so I hope it grows, grows and GROWS!!

For the last few mornings, we have been waking up to the most beautiful sound - Yes, our silly alarms but also Birds chirping!! Spring is OFFICIALLY HERE!! It's such a wonderful sound! So today, I decided I should feed the little red breasted bird, Ray, who chillaxes on our green wall but instead of Ray devouring the multigrain bread, Henry the Seagull is back and HUNGRY!!! 

Isn't he adorable?! I can't help it.. I see seagulls and immediately think of the beach and my family! With Spring swooping in, I know summer is just around the corner and soon I will be too - just around the corner in JERSEY!!

Stay tuned because I will most definitely be DOUBLE posting today!! Sorry but the question that has haunted me for years and years (Whatever happened to sweet, little innocent Jon Benet Ramsey) will be discussed on Investigation Discovery tonight and I not only plan on watching it but also blogging about it. 

Use your Words!

Okay - onto the next thing that I want to change - my vocabulary! Sadly, over the years, I've picked up some not so pretty words that I pretty much rely on to get through my days. I know this will be a difficult habit to break so while I attempt to break the old bad words out of my language, I intend to fix it with some good new ones! I am going to post a word of the day on the days that I post and then with that, I will try my best to use that word of the day for the days ahead! It's worth a shot right?!

So.. Today's word is Bedaub (bih - DOB): It means to smudge over, to soil with anything thick & dirty or to overdecorate. Hmm.. so to use - Tonight I dropped the spatula because it was so bedaubed with oil from using it for the bacon.  Okay your turn..

Just as a sidenote: When I first began this blog, I didn't know how often I would post. I was worried that since it took over a year to even start this thing in the first place, how long would it be between posts?! I figured I would have to push myself to post but instead I find myself wondering how many posts are too much?! And since I figure it's only me reading this, who's gonna tell on me?! I am really enjoying this and although I haven't quite found my reason for the blog yet, I hope with continued posts, a path may become clear.  I am just glad I made a change and hit the publish button!

Do they sell these at Staples too?!

If so, I need one immediately!! Yes... I am probably being dramatic but after watching the history channel today, I am surprised I'm not out sky diving at this very moment?! That way I can begin crossing off items from my "Things I must do before the world ends" list?! Why you ask? Well.. let's ask Michel de Nostredame (better known as Nostradamus) shall we?

I'm sure we've all heard that name before: maybe in the papers after the tragedy of the world trade center, maybe we read it in circulating email chains or maybe we've seen it written in permanent marker on the cardboard signs of believers on the street corners. Either way, we've all seen it but maybe we never took the time to read up on it. Or at least I never did. Until today. 

Despite the Rain...

We had a great weekend! Not that we did anything special but it was just nice to enjoy each other and do nothing?! It was a bit rainy again this weekend which was a bit of a bummer. I know we could always use the water but... I am also hoping for some sunshine to warm us up a bit this week. I guess I will have to pray a bit harder for that this week! So... let's see...Friday we grabbed a glass of wine at this adorable wine garden across the street from us. We can't wait to have visitors so we can show it off - it's just great! Then we headed over to The Yard for dinner - the fish tacos were super tasty! Saturday I dragged the hubby to Universal Studios for lunch. It stopped raining just in time for us to stroll around the City Walk. We both wanted to go spend the day touring the actual park but... at 80 bucks a person.. I didn't want to go in for an hour or so and leave due to rain and my hubby needing to work a bit that day. We both promised each other we will go back soon and this time go inside the park!

Now for Sunday - Sunday was a bit bittersweet.  It was relaxing for us on the west coast but on the east

Hello World.. It's So Nice To Meet You...

Where to begin.. Last year at about the same time, I began this blog. I played with fonts, uploaded the picture and then attempted to write my first post. I attempted to write my first post many times but it always ended with me clicking the delete button.  I would laugh at myself thinking "Tara - What the hell would you blog about? Better yet, who the hell would sit and read your blog?" So instead of just laughing at myself - it's time to just answer the questions and make it happen!! No more deleting!! There are times in your life when you just have to mean what you say and say what you mean (one of my hubby's favorite lines) so.. today is my day! I will no longer talk about blogging or talk about wanting to publish a post - I'm just going to DO IT! So.. Here we go!
