Despite the Rain...

We had a great weekend! Not that we did anything special but it was just nice to enjoy each other and do nothing?! It was a bit rainy again this weekend which was a bit of a bummer. I know we could always use the water but... I am also hoping for some sunshine to warm us up a bit this week. I guess I will have to pray a bit harder for that this week! So... let's see...Friday we grabbed a glass of wine at this adorable wine garden across the street from us. We can't wait to have visitors so we can show it off - it's just great! Then we headed over to The Yard for dinner - the fish tacos were super tasty! Saturday I dragged the hubby to Universal Studios for lunch. It stopped raining just in time for us to stroll around the City Walk. We both wanted to go spend the day touring the actual park but... at 80 bucks a person.. I didn't want to go in for an hour or so and leave due to rain and my hubby needing to work a bit that day. We both promised each other we will go back soon and this time go inside the park!

I thought this billboard was so silly but spot on! No offense..

We thought taking photos by the gate to get in was too sad so we opted to take a photo here.. in front of hmm.. the jumping waters?!
Now for Sunday - Sunday was a bit bittersweet.  It was relaxing for us on the west coast but on the east
coast, my family was all gathered for a wonderful occasion - one of my many nieces was being christened.  These are the days that are sometimes harder than I thought they would be. I miss them so much and I know they are missing us. We have a date to go home in May so I just need to keep that in mind. I love it out here, adventuring with my hubby but when I know they are all together, I feel like I've let them down and I wonder what I'm missing.  It was so easy when we lived in Philly and they were in Jersey because we could just hop in the car and poof - We were home! But.. the whole 5hr flight and 3,000 miles of driving can become a bit scary when I sit and think about it some days. Alright - enough about that... onto Sunday. Sunday my handsome hubby made me a tasty breakfast - egg sandwich which was so yummy and just so thoughtful!! I just absolutely adore him. Hmm... we did some yoga and it was just too hilarious because we thought we were ready to move up to the advanced level but...we were wrong. Very wrong & sore?! We didn't do so well (I'm being nice here - we did HORRIBLE) but I believe we can use this as motivation to stretch a bit more and push ourselves a bit harder.  All in all - the weekend was great and I can't believe it's over already..
